
Opening Ceremony of the Australian Youth Olympic Festival – Sydney Superdome, January 19th 2005
What:
The Australian Youth Olympic Festival is a commitment by the Australian Olympic Committee to support developing athletes in Australia and the Oceania region through the provision of an Olympic-type experience, in a highly competitive and educational environment.
The Australian Youth Olympic Festival reflects the Olympic Games in substance and features elements of the Olympic Games model including the Opening Ceremony.
The ceremony featured over 2000 performers, a speech by John Coates (AOC president) and was officially opening by Susie O’Neil, one of Australia’s favourite sporting stars.
What we did:
- Full Lighting and Laser Design for the Opening Ceremony Consultation with Producers, Directors, Choreographers and the Australian Olympic Committee (AOC) Execution of creative ideas and concepts
- Full Lighting and Laser Programming and Operation for the event.
Outcome:
- AOC and event Producers happy with end result Lighting and laser elements on Budget.
- Mainstream media coverage of the event on all television networks and press the following day.
